Description / Abstract
John Wesley's classic on Christian perfection has been a source of help and hope for generations of Christians. Hope for a real cleansing from sin through submission by faith to the full will of God.
It is the author's hope that this edition will be helpful for translators and for ordinary readers who struggle with the older English. This is more of a translation into modern English rather than an idiomatic expression of concepts. Phillips worked hard to make the concepts as true to the original as possible while making the text readable for modern readers. There are other editions that may be more helpful for a true scholar.
