The book is primarily designed to be read—and its truths to be prayed about—day by day throughout the year. But the reader may also have occasion at times to look for discussions in specific areas of the truth. The table of contents, the running heads, and the Index of Scripture References will provide help at this point. Chapters one through five deal with the doctrine of the deeper life. Chapters six, seven, and eight discuss the steps by which one may enter this experience with God. Chapters nine through thirteen attempt to point out scriptural guidance for a satisfying and effective Spirit-filled life. The last two chapters explore in some depth the holiness teaching implicit and explicit in the Bible passages selected. (From the Preface)
